Tirana’s Great Ring, Gjiknuri: The segment from the roundabout “TEG” to Farkë ends

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Damian Gjiknuri accompanied by the head of the Albanian Road Authority Afrim Qendro inspected the investments being carried out at Tirana e Jashtme Ring. The latest segment, opened for circulation, is 4.14 km long, which begins near the “TEG” roundabout and ends near the Farkë Helicopter Department. Lot 2 in which work is currently ongoing includes the segment from Farka to the Autotraktor’s Plant in Shkoza.

“We are here to open the new ring segment from TEG to the Helicopter Field in Farka. It is a segment part of the Tirana Grand Ring, which is an ongoing investment. The rest is from Farka to Shkoza, there are two other lots that we are making some improvements from the current project to bring it to the appropriate standards. You may see that the Tirana ring is one of the priorities of the Albanian government and all that good work will not only facilitate the facilitation of traffic in the city of Tirana, but it will be an important traffic junction for all of Albania. It is known that Tirana summarizes the main traffic in Albania. The ring will continue with the process starting from the Industrial School to the “Eagle” square, where the segment will return within the right parameters so that the traffic flow does not stumble, “Gjiknuri underlined.

Referring to the Great Ring Project as a whole, Minister Gjiknuri explained that the ring requires its time to be fully closed. “The ring will continue, it will take several years to remember that there are two other lots that will be improved and will continue work, especially the Eagle Square to the industrial school. This is all about the project that the Albanian government has said about raising the road standards, where the Tirana ring is a very important part of this 4 year project, “Gjiknuri insisted.

In this segment were built a tunnel of 120ml length, a 100ml overpass, pedestrian underpasses and agricultural tools (3×3) 4pieces, 2x5x4m box on the main road. The project has access routes to residential areas stretching along this axis as well as businesses.
