The Joint Railroad between Albania-Montenegro is inaugurated in Tuz

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Damian Gjiknuri attended the inauguration ceremony of the joint railway station between Albania and Montenegro.

Accompanied by MP Paulin Sterkaj, Gjiknuri visited the border checkpoints in Tuz, where customs, police and railway representatives of the two countries have already been established. The opening of the joint station is considered as a joint success of the Albanian and Montenegrin parties, as the only model in the region, which should be followed as an example by all Western Balkans countries.

In the assessment of Minister Gjiknuri this initiative serves also to the interconnection agenda between neighboring countries and beyond. He emphasized the need for deepening cooperation between Montenegrin operator Montecargo and Albanian operator, Albanian Railways.

Minister Gjiknuri said the flow of commodity exchange between the two countries is growing and this joint station contributed to deepen the cooperation and economic development of the two countries.
