Minister Gjiknuri inspects the situation created by rainfall

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, closely followed the situation created during the night as a result of intense precipitation rainfall. Minister Gjiknuri stopped in the Kashar area, accompanied by the head of ARA, Afrim Qendro, where he pursued the work to unblock the segment flooded by rain. The minister described the situation as severe, while stressing that state institutions are in charge of duty and are working for the normalization of the situation as quickly as possible.
“It is an emergency, a difficult situation. All measures have been taken, there are no direct risks to life. Police, Road Authority, maintenance companies are all in charge of duty”- said Gjiknuri, stressing that such a situation requires the understanding and cooperation of the citizens.
Following the inspections, accompanied by OSHEE administrator Ardian Çela, Minister Gjiknuri stopped at the Kashari substation, which due to precipitation and flooding was removed for security measures, and will return to work as soon as reduce the water level in order to not risk the lives of the employees and the safety of the power system.
“The situation is definitely difficult, but what is to be said is that all Distribution Operator personnel are in charge of duty, addressing the situation properly. to maintain network security and the safety of people’s lives “- said Minister Gjiknuri.
Further, accompanied by the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu and the administrator of OSHEE, Ardian Çela, Minister Gjiknuri visited the QSUT electricians who were injured in the incident of Thursday in Shkodra by incineration in the body.
