Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Damian Gjiknuri was in Novosel where he attended the inauguration of a metal production plant. The investment of a consortium with Italian and Albanian entrepreneurs has the value of 3.3 million euros, while the metals produced mainly go to the foreign market.

“We are here in Novosela, where despite the fact that Novosela has dominated the news of natural disasters in the last days, there is another dimension that the public needs to know. Novosela is being invested by foreign companies in the manufacturing sector. Here are the latest investments, from an Italian company and Albanian investors, who are producing metal parts for the market, for export. This is a new, modern investment, with the latest technology and it should be congratulated. Investments are increasing, as well interest in Vlora has increased, “said Minister Gjiknuri.

Meanwhile, he said he was also acquainted with the concerns that exist in the area for sustainability of power supply.

“There are inherited problems over the years but this will be solved very soon with the investment that has just begun throughout this area of ​​Novosela. Slightly this area is turning into an industrial area. The new distribution of the Distribution Operator will enable the energy to come here without interruption and next year we will also plan an investment to turn this area to 20 kilovolt. It means that energy will be with the best parameters and that will help all businesses in this area to have uninterrupted energy, “the minister promised.

Meanwhile, Mayor of Vlora, Dritan Leli said that the investment being carried out is of considerable value while employing some of the residents of the area.
