Hungary, Minister Damian Gjiknuri participates in the “Initiative 16 + 1” Summit

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Damian Gjiknuri and Deputy Prime Minister Senida Mesi, attended the 6th China Summit and the 16 countries of the Central and Eastern Europe, known as the “Initiative 16+1”, a summit which that took place in Budapest, Hungary. This meeting aims to establish a joint cooperation platform to attract significant investments in the field of transport and infrastructure, such as energy, agriculture and tourism, directly affecting the economic development of our country, as one of the countries of this platform. The Summit was attended by more than 400 ventures from China, as well as Central and Eastern European countries. During his stay in Budapest in the framework of the Forum “Initiative 16 + 1”, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Damian Gjiknuri also held meetings with well-known Chinese companies and investment funds, among which SINO-CEE Fund, Norinco International Corporation and China Machinery Engineering Corporation. The main topic during these meetings was the possible cooperation on important projects in the field of infrastructure and energy.
