Energy Investments, Gjiknuri and Çela at the Bushat Substation

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Damian Gjiknuri and Administrator of the Electricity Distribution Operator Adrian Çela were in Bushat where they closely saw the investments that were carried out at the 110/20 kV substation.

“It is a substation that has been built 10 years ago but was not used. No links were made to the fonts, and there was not invested in network routers, and the residents of the area continued to be supplied with the 6-kilovolts network even though they had a new substation that had been left in limbo for so many years. The company completed the first phase of an investment of 7 billions ALL with its own income, invested in trusts. Approximately 2,000 subscribers have benefited, and about 40 kilometers of medium voltage cables, 72 km of low voltage ABC cables have been invested and over 40 new cabins were built and renovated, “OSHEE administrator said.

OSHEE has planned to invest another 1.2 billion ALL in 2018-2019 for completing four other futures to the full capacity of the substation, guaranteeing a better supply of energy for 10 thousand subscribers.

Minister Gjiknuri said that the financial soundness of the sector, but above all of the Distribution Operator, and investment growth, will definitely bring drastic reduction in losses, meaning better financial sustainability in the long terms.

Gjiknuri, also paid attention to network investments and lowering the level of losses, emphasizing that Shkodra still lags behind the set target.

“Investments are continuing, despite the fact that the years were a difficult year and with a production crisis. Fortunately, this year, at least on the part of the production will be a good year, and will return the level of investment acceptable, so that we continue to keep pace with the time it takes to invest.
