Cleaning of national nodes and axes, ARA and IKMT start field intervention

At the end of the 15-day deadline announced earlier by the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Damian Gjiknuri, the fieldwork for cleaning national joints and axes has started today.

The Albanian Road Authority in cooperation with the National Territorial Defense Inspectorate and the State Police started implementing the plan of measures in the area of Shkozet.

“In accordance with the Joint Order of Ministers Gjiknuri and Xhafa, today began cleaning of all national axes from illegal constructions that are due to sources of accidents. The first axis we have chosen to start is Tirana-Rrogozhina, which then goes up to Vlora. The work between the two institutions has begun for days. In parallel, it is being worked across the Republic of Albania to make relevant notices and legal procedures. The next axis will be the axis of Tirana-Shkodër-Hani Hotit, “said the director of IKMT, Dallëndyshe Bici.

According to her, the action will be in compliance with all the rules and definitions that the laws of the Republic of Albania have given, giving priority to the Road Code.

The Director of the Albanian Road Authority, Afrim Qendror, stated further data on actions to be carried out on the ground.

“The action has started in a roundabout, on an overpass. Land and land surfaces beneath the underpasses are expropriated areas by the state and the activity here is unlawful at a time when it is an accident source because all entering and existing cars enter the underpass.
